An Air India aircraft mistakenly took a wrong turn while taxiing towards the parking bay and ended up on the same taxiway as an Indigo flight preparing for takeoff. Fortunately, the quick response from Air Traffic Control (ATC) ensured that both planes were halted in time. Indigo confirmed that the two aircraft stopped at a safe distance from each other.

According to reports, the Indigo flight was ready for departure to Mumbai when the Air India flight, arriving from Mumbai, inadvertently turned onto the taxiway where the Indigo aircraft was already positioned. Sources indicate that the two planes were approximately 200 meters apart on the same taxiway. ATC acted swiftly, contacting the pilots of both aircraft to prevent a collision. Subsequently, the Air India plane was redirected to the correct parking bay. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries among the crew or passengers on either flight.
