Indian Woman Found Murdered in Toronto: A missing Indian-origin woman was discovered dead in a residence in Toronto, Canada. The deceased has been identified as Himanshi Khurana. The Indian embassy in Toronto expressed its condolences on Wednesday regarding her tragic passing. Authorities are currently searching for a suspect named Abdul Ghafoori, who was known to the victim.
According to reports, the police received a call regarding a missing person on Friday, December 19, 2025, at approximately 10:41 AM, prompting an immediate response. Officials stated that on Saturday, December 20, 2025, around 6:30 AM, they found the missing woman deceased inside a house, ruling her death as a homicide. The suspect, Abdul Ghafoori (32), is being sought by the police in Toronto.
As per CBC News, investigators believe that the incident surrounding the Indian woman's death appears to be linked to domestic violence. The police indicated that there was an acquaintance between the victim and the suspect. A nationwide warrant has been issued for Abdul Ghafoori for first-degree murder, which could lead to a life sentence without parole if premeditated intent is proven in court.
