Rajat Patidar's Team Advances to the Final
Duleep Trophy 2025: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team has ended an 18-year wait by clinching the IPL 2025 trophy under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar. Previously, Patidar led the Madhya Pradesh team to the finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. Now, he has once again guided a team to the finals.
In the second semifinal of the Duleep Trophy 2025, the West Zone faced off against the Central Zone. The West Zone batted first, scoring 438 runs, thanks to a remarkable century by Ruturaj Gaikwad. In response, the Central Zone amassed 600 runs. During their second innings, the West Zone managed to score 216 runs while losing 8 wickets, resulting in a draw on the final day. Despite the draw, Patidar's team advanced directly to the finals due to their first-innings lead.
Final Showdown Against South Zone
Rajat Patidar contributed significantly to the Central Zone's innings with a score of 77 runs. Although no player from the Central Zone scored a century, the team still reached 600 runs, with six players hitting half-centuries. On the bowling front, Harsh Dubey and Saransh Jain also performed exceptionally well. The Central Zone will now face the South Zone in the final, who eliminated the North Zone in their semifinal match. Both teams are currently in excellent form.
