Tragic Plane Crash in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad Plane Crash Incident: A devastating plane crash in Ahmedabad has left the nation in shock. An Air India Dreamliner 787-8, operating flight AI 171, crashed near the BJ Medical Hostel while en route to London. The aircraft was carrying 242 passengers, and there are grave concerns regarding the survival of many onboard.


The flight included two pilots and a cabin crew of ten, among whom was Nganthoi Sharma Kongbrailatpam from Manipur. Tragically, she lost her life in the incident, along with her colleague Lamnunthiem Singson. Reports indicate that Nganthoi belonged to the Maitei community, while Lamnunthiem was from the Kuki community.




The families of both victims are devastated by the loss. A video has surfaced showing Nganthoi's family in tears, mourning their beloved.


The aircraft was piloted by Captain Sumit Sabharwal, who was a Line Training Captain (LTC) with over 8,200 hours of flying experience. Assisting him was First Officer Clive Kunder, who had logged 1,100 hours in the cockpit.
