Asia Cup 2025: Team India's Probable Playing XI Revealed

Team India's Squad for Asia Cup 2025
Team India's Squad for Asia Cup 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2025 on Tuesday. The exclusion of players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer surprised many fans, leading to expressions of disappointment on social media. However, the final selection of players who will take the field remains uncertain.
In the squad selected for the Asia Cup 2025, Test captain Shubman Gill has been appointed as the vice-captain. It is confirmed that Gill will play and will open the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma. This situation makes it challenging for Sanju Samson to find a spot in the playing XI. According to the BCCI's list, Sanju is listed among the last three players, indicating he may serve as a backup wicketkeeper-batsman, which increases the likelihood of Jitesh Sharma playing in the middle order.
At the number three position, either captain Suryakumar Yadav or Tilak Varma is expected to bat. Following them, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel will come in to bat. Rinku Singh or Shivam Dubey may also get a chance. In the pace attack, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh are set to play, while one of the spinners, either Varun Chakravarthy or Kuldeep Yadav, will be included. Overall, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, and Rinku Singh are part of the squad, but their inclusion in the playing XI remains uncertain.
