Previously, under Rohit Sharma's leadership, India clinched the Asia Cup title, but the team has undergone significant changes since then. Notably, veterans like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be part of the squad, as both have retired from T20 internationals. Additionally, fans can expect a revamped jersey for Team India during the Asia Cup 2025.

Removal of Title Sponsor Dream 11
Recently, the Indian government introduced the Online Gaming Bill 2025, which aims to regulate gaming apps that involve monetary transactions. Dream 11, a platform where users create teams and aspire to win substantial cash prizes, is among those likely to face a ban. In 2023, the BCCI had named Dream 11 as the title sponsor for Team India, and their branding has been featured on the team's jersey. However, if Dream 11 is banned, its name will also be removed from the Indian jersey.
