US-Iran Peace Negotiations Conclude Without Agreement

The recent peace talks between the US and Iran in Islamabad have concluded without any agreement after 21 hours of discussions. US Vice President JD Vance stated that Iran's refusal to accept American conditions regarding nuclear weapons led to the failure of the negotiations. This outcome raises concerns about future relations and the ongoing conflict that began in February. Vance's remarks emphasized the need for a firm commitment from Iran to refrain from pursuing nuclear capabilities. As he departed for the US, the implications of these talks remain significant for international diplomacy.

US-Iran Peace Talks End Without Resolution

US-Iran Peace Talks Conclude: Global attention was focused on the negotiations between the United States and Iran in Islamabad, but after 21 hours of discussions, no agreement was reached. US Vice President JD Vance stated that the talks ended without a deal as Iran refused to comply with American conditions related to nuclear weapons.

During the critical discussions, which lasted for 21 hours, Vice President Vance remained in contact with President Donald Trump and other officials. He told reporters, 'The straightforward fact is that we need a firm commitment from Iran that they will neither pursue nuclear weapons nor acquire the means to quickly develop them.' He emphasized that this is the primary goal of the US President, and the negotiations aimed to achieve this objective.

Addressing the media from a podium flanked by two American flags, Vance was joined by special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. His speech lasted just over three minutes, during which he answered three questions from journalists before departing without taking further inquiries.

Vance Departs for the US

Following the unsuccessful negotiations with Iran, Vice President JD Vance boarded his official plane at 7:08 AM local time in Islamabad, preparing to leave Pakistan. It is noteworthy that the conflict with Iran began at the end of February, and the lengthy discussions concluded without a resolution. The US and Iran had agreed to a two-week ceasefire on April 7 for the talks.
