This concern has intensified following the US State Department's recent directive for non-essential diplomats and their families to evacuate from the American embassy in Beirut, Lebanon. The travel alert issued by the department cites security concerns in Beirut as the reason for this decision, leaving only essential personnel at the embassy with restrictions on their movements within the country.


Indian Ministry of External Affairs Issues Advisory

In a related development, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has also released an advisory urging its citizens to leave Iran immediately. This follows a previous advisory issued on January 14, advising all Indian nationals to exit Iran. Oman’s Foreign Minister Confirms Talks

Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr Al-Busaidi, confirmed on Sunday that the talks are viewed as a positive step towards a final agreement. Iranian senior diplomat Abbas Araghchi expressed hope for a meeting with US representative Steve Biegun on Thursday, indicating a potential for a diplomatic resolution.


Dispute Over Iranian Uranium Enrichment

The US perceives Iran's uranium enrichment as a potential step towards developing nuclear weapons, a claim Iran has consistently denied, asserting its right to peaceful nuclear enrichment.
