Tragic Incident in Dallas

Indian Murdered in America, Washington: A tragic incident occurred in a motel in Dallas, where an Indian man was brutally murdered with an axe. The incident took place on Wednesday. Reports indicate that Chandra Nagamallaiah, originally from Karnataka, confronted 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez about the improper use of a broken washing machine. This led to a heated argument, after which Cobos-Martinez attacked Nagamallaiah with an axe, resulting in a fatal blow to his head.

Family's Attempt to Intervene

According to initial reports, Cobos-Martinez was upset that Nagamallaiah had asked another staff member to translate his instructions instead of addressing him directly. Following this, the assailant grabbed a knife and repeatedly struck the 50-year-old victim. Nagamallaiah attempted to flee towards the main office through the parking area, but Cobos-Martinez pursued him.

Nagamallaiah's wife and 18-year-old son also rushed out of the main office to intervene, but they were pushed aside by the attacker. Subsequently, Cobos-Martinez decapitated the victim and even kicked his severed head. A video has surfaced showing him carrying the head towards a dumpster. He was apprehended by the police while exiting the dumpster area, covered in blood and still holding the axe.

The Indian consulate expressed sorrow over Nagamallaiah's 'tragic' death, labeling it a 'brutal murder' at his workplace. They stated on social media, 'We are in contact with the family and providing all possible assistance. The suspect is in custody of the Dallas police, and we are closely monitoring the case.'
