Asia Cup 2025: Match Timings Adjusted for UAE Tournament

Asia Cup 2025: Tournament Details
Asia Cup 2025: The upcoming Asia Cup will take place in the UAE, with all teams gearing up for the event. The tournament is set to commence on September 9 and will conclude with the final match on September 28. Recently, there has been a significant change in the schedule, affecting the timing of 18 out of the 19 matches.
Reason Behind the Change in Match Timings
All but one of the matches in the tournament will now start at 6:30 PM Gulf Standard Time, which translates to 8 PM Indian Standard Time. This adjustment means that the matches will begin half an hour later than originally planned, which was set for 7:30 PM IST. The reason for this change is the extreme heat in the Gulf region during September, where temperatures can soar to 40 degrees Celsius. Consequently, cricket boards requested broadcasters to shift the match timings, and this request was approved. While 19 matches are scheduled, only 18 have had their timings altered. The match between UAE and Oman on September 15 will retain its original schedule.
