Ram Mandir Donation Controversy Escalates Amid Calls for Investigation
Controversy Surrounding Ram Mandir Donations
Ram Mandir Donation Controversy: The issue of alleged misappropriation of funds in the donation box for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya is gaining significant attention. Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has raised this concern, demanding an investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Following this, BJP leader Rajneesh Singh and several saints have also called for an impartial inquiry. Meanwhile, a surprising statement from former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh regarding this controversy has emerged.
When questioned about the alleged irregularities in the temple's donation box, BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh remarked that if he were to speak the truth on this matter, he would find himself in serious trouble. In an interview with a news agency, he stated, “If I tell the truth, it will hurt a lot, and I will get entangled in a controversy because those involved are very powerful. Therefore, out of fear, I am not speaking the truth.” This statement from Brij Bhushan, often regarded as a strongman in politics, has raised several interpretations.
Earlier, BJP leader and party spokesperson Dr. Rajneesh Singh sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging that the matter be investigated by the CBI, Enforcement Directorate, or any other competent central agency.
Response from Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati
Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has claimed that theft has been ongoing since the ground-breaking ceremony of the Ram Temple. When asked about Akhilesh Yadav's allegations of theft in Ayodhya, he responded, “Theft has been happening continuously... What accusations have been made? This information has emerged from there... what he (Akhilesh) has said is based on news that has come from there.”
He further stated, “Theft has been happening there (in Ayodhya) for a long time. Is this the first time theft is occurring? It started when the stone laying ceremony took place. Numerous allegations have been made. There were thefts during the first stone laying ceremony. After that, as the temple began to be constructed on the Ram Janmabhoomi, plots started selling. A plot worth a lakh would suddenly become worth crores... and now this theft...”
